Antique Mahogany Bonheur Du Jour Desk
A lovely antique Sheraton Style bonheur du jour writing table in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1930’s.
It is of fantastic quality and is beautifully made. The mahogany has satin wood inlay around all the edges, this has brass ring pull handles. There is a beautiful inset tooled leather writing surface which has a gorgeous patina. There are two deep drawers beneath the writing surface, and the top section is fitted out with smaller drawers, small cupboards and pigeon holes. The top level also has a pierced brass gallery.
We have had this re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent for its age.
Width – 42 inches , 107 cm
Depth – 21 inches , 53 cm
Height – 40 inches , 101 cm
