Antique Mahogany Leather Top Partners Desk

A very large and impressive antique English mahogany partners desk, which we would date from around the 1910-1930’s period.
It is of extremely high quality, this is an exceptionally well made piece. There are eight drawers on the front including an unusual double drawer with dividers at the top. The back has three additional drawers and two locking cabinets. The drawers are fitted with “Hobbs & Co” Bramah locks, all the drawers are beautifully constructed and have fine hand cut dovetailed joints.
The beautiful green leather top has been hand coloured and gold tooled. This desk has panelled sides, original brass handles, escutcheons and stunning flame mahogany grain patterns throughout. The top is extra deep, so there is plenty of working area & there is a generous kneehole space.
We have recently had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age.
Please note, this does not come apart and is fixed as one large piece. Please measure entry ways very carefully as this is quite difficult to manoeuvre!
Basically – Any doorway you carry it through will need to be over 31 inches wide, so it can be carried in on it’s side.
Width – 60 inches , 153 cm
Depth – 46 inches , 115 cm
Height – 31 inches , 78 cm
Knee height – 24 inches , 60 cm
Knee width – 22 inches , 56 cm Please be aware this item may be in our shop or our warehouse - please contact us prior to visiting.
