A handsome antique mahogany open armchair or desk chair dating from circa 1830. With elegant scrolled arms, the curved oblong top-rail and oblong crossbar above a drop-in seat on elegant sabre legs. The seat has been recently reupholstered in a tapestry fabric of floral designs. Solid and sturdy, would make a wonderful desk chair.

Condition Report:
Solid and sturdy with wear and marks commensurate with age. Recently reupholstered (a couple of small marks to the fabric). A well-executed mend to the front leg (see photo).
