A wonderful brass bound Mahogany antique jewellery box dating to around 1840. The rich Mahogany brass is decorated with brass fittings with quality screwed construction.

The interior has been professionally relined to adapt to today's demands as a quality fitted jewelry box with a removable tray with the front having a padded ring bank to accommodate around six or so rings. The lid, tray, compartment below and drawer is fully finished in a soft black velvet, this is the perfect box for either a lady or gentleman. Under the tray is a small lidded "secret" compartment perfect for perhaps a wrist watch.

The brass pin is removed releasing the drawer below which is opened by the flush campaign inlaid brass handle, the interior with velvet lining.

Excellent condition ready to put to use. 10 3/4" x 6 3/4" x 5 1/2" tall.
