Music & Reading Stand - By Foots of London - c1910

Presented in very good antique condition this is a quality stand from the renowned manufacturer Foots of London.

Of useful proportion this classic item of functional antique furniture presents superbly. The desirable Foots innovation and brand quality is evident.

Rising from original china castors the stand sits solidly over a cast iron base. The design allows for the stand to be placed over an armchair, or even a bed if required.

The stand is complete with the original candle sconce and wine table attachments. The whole piece has a feeling of engineering quality with robust cast metal fittings.

Adjusting the angle of the book rest table is achieved by pressing a sprung button - all very effortless. The mahogany book rest features fine inlay to the perimeter and a central cartouche.

The stand is adjustable for both left and right handed use.

It is very solidly crafted, of good craftsmanship, and will make a fine addition to any home.

A perfect example of practicality and good design with the benefit of being in top condition throughout and and from a very collectible manufacturer.
