Antique Open-Faced Silver Fusee Pocket Watch, 1893.

A lovely silver cased, open-faced fusee pocket watch of significant proportion, from the late Victorian era.
• Silver hallmarked Chester 1893.
• Original lunette glass.
• Turned silver dial and subsidiary second’s dial, with hand-engraved florally decorated inner garland ring, and an engine turned Guilloché basketweave patterned centre.
• Raised Gothic style gold Roman numerals.
• Original blued hands.
• Fusee movement with compensated balance and ruby end stone.
• London steel regulating indicator bar.
• Case maker was: Joseph Fray (“JF”), of Northampton Street, Birmingham.
• Case with ornately hand-engraved sides and rear, finished with a gold ‘belt and buckle’ cartouche.
• Case and movement serial numbers are the same: “29988.”
• Comes with a winding key, together with instructions on how to wind and set the watch time.
