This is an antique Putti jardiniere. An Italian, gilt metal and ceramic planter vase in urn form, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Grand scale and wonderfully classical decorations
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Gilt metal over ceramic urn with a rich cobalt blue ground
Superb weight in the hand at 6.825kg (15.04 lb)

Forlorn angels sit with their head in hands around the lobed rim
Highly detailed relief foliate garlands adorn the front and rear fascia
Loop handles pass through lion head masks to each side
Standing upon a plinth foot, dressed with a protective cushion pad
