Antique Regency Mahogany Bureau c1820
Antique Regency Mahogany Bureau and dating from around 1820. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a fall front with cross banded edge and with original brass escutcheon and which opens to reveal a small central door edged with fine inlaid stringing and inlaid shell motife to the centre. This is flanked on either side by two short drawers above a single long drawer and three pigeon holes. To the base there are four graduating drawers all of which are oak lined with original brass handles and lock escutcheons. It is moulded to the base and stands on bracket feet.
Measures: 42" high x desk height 30" x 20.5" deep x 37" wide
In very good condition with lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our antique furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
