Antique Regency Mahogany Clothes Press c1820
Antique Regency Mahogany Clothes Press and dating from around 1820. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a cornice top with a deep cross banded frieze. Below are two moulded paneled doors, Internally is a brass hanging rail. The base has a moulded edge above two short drawers over one long drawer.The two short drawers are imitation drawers and the clothes hang behind them, the long drawer is oak lined . All the drawers have original brass handles. The press stands on square tapering legs and separates into three parts for ease of transport.
Measures 76" high x 23.5" deep x 21" internal depth x 50" wide
In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our antique furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
