A magnificent antique Regency open armchair or desk chair in mahogany dating from circa 1820. The flame figured oblong top rail above a centre rail, with generous scroll arms, it stands on turned legs to the front and sabre legs back. The drop-in seat has been newly reupholstered in grey velour type fabric. Would make a wonderful desk chair.

Good condition. Solid and sturdy. Warm patina to the mahogany. Wear and marks commensurate with age. The drop-in seat has been newly reupholstered. Small chips to bottom of legs.
