This is an antique shawl back rocking chair. An American, ash and pine rocker crafted by The Shakers of Mount Lebanon, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. A beautifully preserved example of the revered Shaker Number 7 rocking chair, offering both historic provenance and superb form.

Fascinating maker's label adorns the rocker with a motif of the chair itself
Crafted in ash and pine, displaying warm caramel and golden biscuit hues
Distinctive rolled crest rail sits atop a series of four shaped back splats
