This is an antique scroll arm chair in mahogany and dating to the Regency period c.1830.

Raised on delightfully turned, tapering, octagonal section legs
Pinched and swept tapering rear legs
Fluted front seat rail with side rails sweeping up into stiles

Generous, dished crest rail displaying good grain detail
Panel back rest mounted within well carved scroll mounts
Sinuous curves to the classic scroll arms

Traditionally stuffed drop-in seat pad locating on peg
Needlepoint tapestry seat cover in good order
Easily recovered to suit any décor

A fine example of a Regency scroll arm chair. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
