This beautiful and rare group of early 19th century metal Chinese sculptures depicting a musical band of figures are metal based and finely detailed. There are remnants of the original paints and gold leaf, with each figure holding a different musical instrument. The grouping are unusual both with the size of the grouping and the nature of the sculptures. They are a lovely set, both very tactile and detailed in each of their musical instruments. They would most certainly make an amazing statement piece for a wide range of rooms and settings, and a most attractive focal point.
