This is a super example of a French antique side table, or gueridon, in the cross-over from Directorie to Empire styles of the early 19th century circa 1815.

Choice cuts of mahogany displaying good colour and grain detail
Ovular in form with dish moulding to upper tier
Lower gallery offering generous display space

Wide frieze to both tiers in good proportion to one another and the whole
Ebonised Corinthian half-columns with brass capitals and bases
Raised on later stout four claw, hairy paw feet
