Antique Silver And Guilloche Enamel Fob Watch


A beautiful, fine antique sterling silver and blue guilloche enamel fob watch, with applied gold detailing.
Gorgeous blue enamel with gold highlights, a white enamel dial and blued steel hands.
It is a top wind fob watch, fully hallmarked on the cuvette, London import, 1910, maker /sponsor Stockwell and Co (George Stockwell), sterling silver.
The fob watch is set into a large silver and pyrite frame with scrolling cut out detailing and further suspended from a sterling silver chain.
The pendant is marked 925 on the reverse and Dido which is the makers mark, these were in vogue from the turn of the century to the 1920's and had their roots in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements.
The movement is marked Paradis.
Nice chunky silver chain, with a long length, lion passant for sterling silver.
Condition :
Enamel in very nice condition, small dent on the pendant and 3 missing pyrite which is only noticeable up close, movement not currently running, ticks intermittently, requires a service.
Approx measurements:
1" width of the watch, 2" height with pendant, chain is 26" length.
Overall weight approx 46.8g
