A good quality, Antique, Victorian, Solid Silver Fob Pocket Watch dating from c1890.
The Swiss made, 3/4 plate movement is in very good, clean condition and excellent working order. It is key wound and set by the key provided.
The white enamel dial is in good condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals with a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock, relatively rare for a fob watch.
The solid silver case is in excellent condition. It has decorative engraving to the rear. There is a central cartouche to the rear with the initials "EB" of the original owner. It is hallmarked with "0.935" alongside Swiss Control marks for 0.935 standard silver. slightly higher grade than English sterling (0.925).
A lovely example of a Victorian Fob Pocket Watch.
The watch measures 40 mm in diameter.
