Antique silver Omega pocket watch and chain
Antique silver Omega pocket watch and chain.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, identified as by Omega and also confirmed by the Omega logo on the regulator, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a little unevenness.
The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Continental 935 silver marks inside both of the case backs, so slightly purer than sterling silver. The case is in good condition, just the odd minor mark but nothing serious at all. Engine turned detail to the back of the watch which is still nice and crisp, and a vacant cartouche to the centre.
The acrylic lens is in good condition (a little reflection showing in the photos).
The dial looks good to the naked eye. There are two faint hairlines coming down from number 12 but they are difficult to see.
The watch comes with a single chain, 27cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The links and clasp have hallmarks but the date letter is difficult to read, it is from the same period as the watch.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
