Antique Small French Gilted Parlour Bedroom Chair
An attractive upholstered chair. We date this chair to the 1900s.
The chair sits on two ornately carved legs at the front with splayed square section legs at the rear all on ceramic castors.
The chair has a gilted ornately carved frame with upholstered padded seat and backrest. The chairs are upholstered in a striped gold, pale blue and floral fabric.
The chairs have an overall height of 38" (97cm), with an overall width of 18.5" (47cm) and an overall depth of 23" (59cm). It has a backrest height of 23" (59cm), a seat height of 14" (36cm), a seat width of 17.5" (45cm) and a seat depth of 16" (41cm).
This attractive chair remains in a good solid condition with only minor surface marks commensurate with age and usage, including some wear to the gilt on the frame. There is some minor wear to the fabric and a mark to the front of the seat pad from past use. Please note that we have not attempted to clean any of the fabric.
This remains a very stylish and elegant armchair. It is very comfortable and supportive to sit on and will continue to provide rest and relaxation for many years to come.
