Antique Tall French Carved Oak Bed Frame
A lovely tall bed frame. We date this bed to the early 20th century.
The bed comes in three sections, the head and footboards and the side rails.
The bed sits on attractive carved legs and the side rails have a lovely carved edge.
The shapely headboard has a decoratively carved top centrepiece.
The headboard has a height of 64" (163cm) and the footboard a height of 41" (104cm), both by 60" (153cm) wide and overall length 84” (213cm). The base will take a mattress 78" (198cm) long by 52" (132cm) wide.
This lovely bed remains in very good solid condition with some minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The bed has some minor mellowing and usage marks to the finish. There is a small repair to the inside edge of one leg.
This remains a very stylish and elegant bed which will continue to provide sweet repose for many years to come.
