This is an antique tallboy correspondence desk. A French, drawing room escritoire in bookmatched kingwood, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900. A statement in both form and function, this fine cabinet exudes elegance and exceptional craftsmanship.

Fall front desk, beautifully disguised as a faux drawer fascia, forming a practical writing surface
Original tooled leather skiver in good order, positioned at a comfortable writing height of 72cm
Striking satinwood interior, hosting a suite of smaller drawers, the central drawer fitted with a sliding divider
Five useful drawers with quality oak and mahogany boxes, and hand-cut dovetail joints
Fall front dressed with a brass lined lock — in working order, key present
