This is a fine example of an antique bentwood hat & coat stand in excellent condition, with a lovely warm original colour & plenty of character. I think it was made by Thonet, or if not it certainly is of the same period from around the 1880-90’s. It has that typical beehive top piece on an extended finial, with eight curved branches for hanging items on & a curvaceous chunky base. The middle upright is octagonal in shape. This is a good strong example & not one of those blow away modern ones.
