Antique Victorian Italian Marquetry Sorrento Table
A late Victorian walnut tripod Sorrento table, the circular top centred by an eight-point geometric star medallion in contrasting decorative veneers, framed by concentric parquetry and fine line-inlaid borders, above a turned pedestal with ebonised sections and inlaid banded decoration, all raised on three shaped scrolling legs with herringbone inlaid shoulders.
The circular top unscrews from the pedestal, a practical detail consistent with the portable nature of Sorrento tables of this type.
Very good antique condition with some surface wear and fine veneer movement consistent with age. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place.
