Antique Victorian Mahogany Chest of Drawers c1880
Antique Victorian Mahogany Chest of Drawers and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a square edge to the top above a moulded frieze, this is in fact a secret drawer (see pics) and is released by two wooden spring catches that are located above the two small drawers. Below are two small drawers over three long graduating drawers all of which are oak lined with original turned knob handles and lock escutcheons. It stands on turned bun feet.
Measures 42" high x 20" deep x 45" wide
In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our antique furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
