A good quality antique Victorian mahogany writing table or desk with 2 drawers and shaped gallery back. In mellow well-figured mahogany it stands on elegant turned legs. It has a serpentine gallery back above two drawers, each with knob-handles. A well-proportioned piece, it is a good size and a bit different with the shaped back. This piece was probably made originally as a serving table or wash stand, but makes a wonderful desk. With lots of wear and marks to the top.
