Antique Victorian Set of 6 Mahogany Dining Chairs
A handsome set of Victorian mahogany dining chairs, displaying elegant mid-19th-century design and excellent proportions. The chairs feature shaped backs with gently curved rails, upholstered panels and seats, all framed in well-figured mahogany.
They stand on finely turned tulip legs to the front, with swept rear legs, giving the set a refined and decorative stance. The colour of the mahogany is rich and warm, complementing the upholstery beautifully and highlighting the quality of the timber.
These chairs are both practical and decorative, well suited to a formal dining room or as accent seating, and represent a classic and timeless Victorian form.
Condition
Very good antique condition. Structurally sound and sturdy throughout, with good colour and patina to the mahogany. The upholstery is clean and presentable, with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use.
