Antique Waltham P S Bartlett hunter pocket watch

Antique Waltham P S Bartlett full hunter pocket watch and chain.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, P S Bartlett grade, which is working nicely. This is a very nice quality movement with a gold star wheel regulator and nicely patterned plates. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 18,063,295 dates it back to 1910.
The grade was named after Patten Sargeant Bartlett who was one of the early employees of the Boston Watch Company which went on to become the Waltham Watch Company. He subsequently left Waltham to work for the National Watch Company at Elgin, Illinois but eventually returned to Waltham to work as a salesman before opening his own wholesale business.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 10ct gold plated and was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company, a prolific supplier of cases to various watch makers including Waltham. The case is in beautiful condition with nice sharp engine turned detail.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition. The signed double sunk dial is in beautiful condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes with double albert with each chain measuring 21cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
Please contact us before placing international orders so that we can advise of shipping prices and to see if customs regulations allow us to post watches to your country.
