The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement (Grade No 1)which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number, 7298312 which dates it back to between May 1896 & October 1898. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has light surface marking from use.
The watch measures 53mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is coin silver which is 90% silver as opposed to sterling silver which is 92.5%, and it was made by The Courvoisier-Wilcox Mfg Co. The back of the watch has engine turned detail and a vacant cartouche to the centre. The case has some light wear to the engine turned detail but overall it is in nice condition for an 1890s piece.
The glass lens is in nice condition.
The signed dial is in nice condition.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
