This is an antique work chest. An English, pine tool trunk with candle box, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Delightfully useful pine trunk with a superb fitted interior
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Pine stocks present fine grain interest and warm biscuit hues
Pleasingly clean interior ready to use for storage
Lid opens to reveal the interior, held securely with a chain stay
Candlebox to the left with two fitted drawers beneath
Superb through dovetail joints to each corner
Brass cup handles present appealing golden tonality
This is an appealing antique work chest with a useful interior, whilst the flat top is ideal for use as a coffee table. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
