Antique Writing Desk, English, Mahogany.

This is an antique writing desk. An English, mahogany and leather side or correspondence table, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Wonderfully compact table transforms into an accomplished desk
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order
Select mahogany offers fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
Pleasantly patinated leather skiver in an attractive mint green hue
Pair of articulated leaves enclose this delightful writing desk

Skiver sits upon a hinged lid, offering concealed document storage
Useful letter slides adorn the interior of each leaf
Further period appeal afforded by two useful glass ink wells with silver plated lids
Dressed with an inset circular lock to the front apron — key absent
Dashing shaped aprons to either side add a fascinating profile
Raised upon four slender legs with splayed feet
