Art Deco 9ct Gold on Silver Cuff Links, c.1930s

This is a very stylish pair of Art Deco 9ct Gold on Silver Cuff Links dating to around the 1930s. The links are elongated octagonal shape and are chain linked. They have engine turned decoration on the visible side and are smooth on the underside. These would look as good on a shirt today as they did when they were made around 90 years ago.
9ct Gold on Silver is where a thick layer of 9ct gold is bonded to a silver base. This is usually around 10 times thicker than the layer you get from gold electroplating. It was a particularly popular technique in the interwar years when gold was at a very high price.
The cuff links come in a modern grey presentation box with black interior, which sets them off very well.
Condition is very good with no dings, dents or damage. The silver chains are fully intact and secure. There is no gold loss. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
Each cuff link is 1.8cm / 0.7ins x 1.1cm / 0.43ins and the set weighs in at a very respectable 6.5g / 0.23oz.
The cuff links are stamped on the back with 9ct Gold on Silver.
Shipping in the UK is £6 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Parcel Post.
