Art Deco Burr Walnut Dressing Table - demi-lune chest of drawers, circa 1920 with stylised Gothic arched mirror with moulded frame above three drawers, all with twin silver plate swag handles on short legs from brackets - Maurice Adams Ltd, - 36"w x 28"d x 70"h - Maurice Adams Ltd. was a antique furniture manufacturing company founded in London, England by the architect Maurice Spencer Rowe Adams (1887-1941). The company produced furniture in a style that was a cross between Art Deco and Georgian, all designed by Adams himself. He produced a treatise, on furniture and interior design, Modern Decorative Art (1930), which includes 200 examples of his designs for antique furniture, lighting, ornamental features and interiors. The firm was active in the 1920s and 1930s
