Description:
Here is a good quality antique English Art Deco geometric figured walnut single-piece bow front chest of drawers / compactum, circa 1930, boasting stunning figured walnut veneers, in excellent original condition. Comprising of an elegant Art Deco single moulded frame, the chest boasts an exterior of stunning mirror matched figured walnut veneers to the door and walnut veneer either side of the door in a stepped mosaic design. The tallboy also boasts lovely walnut mirror matched sides. The compactum, boasting a three-sided front, displays a stunning walnut top with black ebony style moulding. Below, the centre of the tallboy boasts a door with stunning mirror matched figured walnut veneer and black ebony style moulding to the perimeter the door retains its original working lock and working key, as well as the original white Bakelite handle. The door opens to reveal an open compartment to the top, above four dovetailed drawers. The compactum sits on its original curved ebony style plinth, and the back features solid backboards.
This is a single piece wardrobe and because of its narrow width, it is ideal for compact rooms, as it consumes very little space.
The item would be at home in any traditional or contemporary setting and consumes very little space. This piece boasts classic Art Deco styling in the overall design of the straight lines, moulded frame, corners, clean lines to the top, the handle and the plinth.
This wardrobe features a mellow brown walnut colour. It has a lovely colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

This compactum is in excellent original condition. The compactum has been polished in our workshops. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and inside frame, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The compactum retains all its original fittings and there are no missing veneers. The door retains the original Bakelite handle and working lock, with working key. The drawers feature quality dovetail construction, run smoothly and close flush to the frame. The compactum retains its original backboards and it stands on its original curved plinth. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.

We offer free delivery to mainland England, Wales, and Southern Scotland (anywhere south of Stirling). We do not offer free delivery to locations north of Stirling in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or any British Islands off the mainland for example, the Isle of Man, Isle of White and Channel Islands. Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks depending on location we aim to deliver the majority of items within 2 weeks. All items are professionally packaged and fully insured in transit, therefore, we can assure you, your items will be securely protected in transit and arrive safely with you.
Once you have purchased an item, we will contact you be email and/or telephone and provide you with a provisional delivery date, in order for you to confirm if it is suitable for you. Once you have confirmed you can accept delivery on the provisional delivery date, we will book the delivery in with our shippers and it then becomes a confirmed delivery date.

For any large items that require 2 people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with lifting the item.
Free 14 Days UK Returns & Refunds:
A free 14-day “no quibble” returns policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. We will collect the item free of charge from you (we do not charge a return fee / collection fee). You will be given a full refund as long as the item is returned in the same condition. We will collect returns using our own specialist antique furniture delivery company. We will not accept returns via a courier service (due to experience of damaged items in transit). This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.
