The suite is constructed from fabulous figured walnut veneers in a geometric stepped mosaic design, featuring decorative black ebony style mouldings and original Bakelite handles. This suite boasts classic Art Deco styling throughout this is visible in the geometric pattern veneers and ebony style plinths, clean lines and the materials used.

Here is an example of a good quality antique English Art Deco figured walnut 4ft 6” wide bed, circa 1930, in good original condition. This bed fits a standard UK double size mattress (4ft 6” wide by 6ft 3” long). The headboard and footboard incorporate a single tier structure, with geometric mosaic veneer and featuring a central moulded panel with black ebony style moulding. The centre of the headboard and footboard boasts superb figured walnut veneer with excellent grain configuration. The headboard and footboard are connected (via bolts) to the original metal frame, which retains the original bolts. The footboard mirrors the design of the headboard, with the addition of a stunning geometric black ebony style plinth. The bed dismantles into two sections for easy transport and access into your house. This piece boasts classic art deco styling in the overall design of the clean lines, geometric patterns andthe materials used.

Comprising of an elegant Art Deco single moulded frame, the wardrobe boasts an exterior of stunning mirror matched figured walnut veneers to the door and walnut veneer either side of the door in a stepped mosaic design. The wardrobe also boasts lovely walnut mirror matched sides. Boasting a three-sided front, the wardrobe displays a stunning walnut top with black ebony style moulding. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The drawers all close flush within their frames. The doors do not have any splits in them they also all close flush to the frame and are not warped. The doors retain their original working lever locks (with key) and adjustable locking angle mechanisms. The suite retains its original Bakelite handles. The bed retains its original complete brackets and angle irons, all of which are clean and not rusty. Please note, the bed does not include a sprung base, however one that fits would be easy to source, as this bed is a standard double size. The suite boasts the original polish and patination, thus displaying a rich golden brown colour. The suite is extremely well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use. The quality is reflected in the weight of the bedroom suite the individual items are heavy to lift!
