Here we have for sale this stunning Vintage Grindley 'The Old Mill' Cake Plate made between 1936- 1954 with beautiful colours and design. The windmill coupled with the rural scene is enchanting and charming and the attention to detail and the application of colour is exemplary.

Condition report: the plate has some minor wear to the paintwork, see photos, and some light scratches largely to the white centre. However there is no evidence of any cracks, chips or crazing and is in remarkably good condition for its age: the glaze is in excellent order on the back of the plate, the gilding is very slightly rubbed on one side but in very good order, the most complete gilding I have seen from a vintage plate as the gliding is often very rubbed but this gilding is in remarkably good order.
