An Art Deco fully hallmarked silver compact mirror made by Harrods silversmith Richard Woodman Burbridge in 1939. Presented in the original signed royal blue leather fitted case it is a one of a kind gift. The lid and base have bold linear engine turned designs. The sides are rose gold. This late Art Deco vanity is sleek, elegant and slimline, measuring slightly less than 6 mm thick. Its extreme slenderness and design features are quintessentially Art Deco. An immaculate black velvet drawstring pouch comes with this purchase. This 1930s compact mirror is in good condition with signs of use present commensurate with its age. The mirror is excellent and gives a clear reflection. The hallmarks read RW over B in script into three conjoined circles (Harrods Ltd - Richard Woodman Burbridge), lion passant (sterling silver), leopard's head (London Assay), D (1939).
