Art Deco Silver Cuff Links, W. Griffith, c.1920s

This is a handsome Pair of Art Deco Sterling Silver Cuff Links. The chain linked cuff links are octagonal with engine turned decoration down the centre. They come supplied in a modern gift box.
The cuff links were made in Birmingham by William Griffith & Sons and date to around the 1920s. William Griffith established his firm in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter in 1854, later becoming William Griffith & Sons. They were manufacturing jewellers, particularly well known for their rings and brooches but also producing cuff links, watch fobs and stick pins. They remained in business until around 1930.
Condition is very good, with no dings or dents and just the superficial surface wear that you would anticipate with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
Each plate is 1.6cm by 1cm and each link set is 2.4cm long. The pair together weigh in at 5.8g.
Each pair is stamped on the back with SILVER on one plate and the W.G & S makers' mark for William Griffith & Sons on the other.
Shipping in the UK is £6 by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
Overseas customers, please ask us about shipping costs to your country before making a purchase.
