Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Queen Anne style Art Deco burr walnut two-door single-piece tallboy chest of drawers, circa 1930, boasting stunning mirror matched burr walnut veneers, in excellent original condition. Comprising of an elegant Art Deco double moulded frame, incorporating a bowed front, this 2-door tallboy boasts an exterior of stunning mirror matched burr walnut veneers to the front and top, and burr walnut to the sides. The compactum features elegant curved corners and moulded edges. The top section comprises a set of five graduated drawers, boasting stunning mirror matched veneers. The drawers are mahogany lined and feature quarter beading (a sign of quality). The lower section incorporates a two-door cupboard. All drawers and doors retain their original brass fretwork drop handles on fretwork escutcheons. Inside, the tallboy features a removable internal shelf. Further below is a bank of three dovetailed drawers, all of which retain their original vertical walnut handles. The tallboy sits on its original cabriole legs, which feature curling foliate carvings. The tallboy also retains the original backboards.
This is a single piece tallboy and because of its narrow width, it is ideal for compact rooms, as it consumes very little space.
The item would be at home in any traditional or contemporary setting and consumes very little space. This piece boasts classic Art Deco styling in the overall design of the curved moulded frame, corners, clean lines to the tops, the handles and the plinth.
This tallboy chest features a mellow walnut colour. It has a lovely colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

This tallboy chest of drawers is in overall excellent original condition. It has been French polished in our workshop therefore the finish and colour are in excellent condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and inside frame, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. All drawers and both doors retain their original brass fretwork handles, and all close flush to the frame. The tallboy retains its original backboards and it stands on its original recessed moulded plinth and feet. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.

We offer free delivery to mainland England, Wales, and Southern Scotland (anywhere south of Stirling). We do not offer free delivery to locations north of Stirling in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or any British Islands off the mainland for example, the Isle of Man, Isle of White and Channel Islands. Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks depending on location we aim to deliver the majority of items within 2 weeks. All items are professionally packaged and fully insured in transit, therefore, we can assure you, your items will be securely protected in transit and arrive safely with you.
Once you have purchased an item, we will contact you by email and/or telephone and provide you with a provisional delivery date, in order for you to confirm if it is suitable for you. A free 14-day “no quibble” returns policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item.
