Artist - Arthur Frederick Payne, a British Victorian artist
Title - Eastbourne from the Chalk Hill near Beachy Head 11th August 1854
Details - Watercolour painting. Titled, dated and monogrammed on the back. Mounted, glazed and framed in a gilt-painted frame. There is a Covent Garden Gallery label on the back of the frame for the right artist, but with a different picture title (possibly a gallery error as the number 42 appears on the label, frame and on the back of the mount).
Condition - Overall in good condition with good colours. The frame has some scuffing, knocking and wear as might be expected.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Image - 17.5cm by 12.5cm
Frame - 34.5cm by 30.5cm, 2.5cm deep. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
