For sale today we have this large and impressive Arts and Crafts Armorial Tray. Believed to be a private commission by the Newlyn industrial class the tray features a large central crest surrounded by William Morris style fruits and foliage. Below the crest is a Latin motto "Deus Dat Incrementum", most commonly (but not exclusively) used by schools translates as "God Gives Gradually".
The copper gauge, rolled edge and repousse technique used all match those of the Newlyn school
An impressive size at 23" long x 13" wide.
