Arts & Crafts Oak Cotswold Style Wardrobe/Press

An unusual large late Victorian Arts & Crafts oak wardrobe in the Cotswold School style featuring a simple panelled front with caddy top cornice, plinth base and a superb natural pattern to the wood grain.
It has two doors either side of the central fixed mirror and these open to reveal a 46cm (18 1/8in) deep interior. The right side has a hanging rail whilst the left side has an adjustable shelf with the option to add a hanging rail, additional shelves or both. The doors have ‘twist to open’ metal drop handles and the full length mirror is bevelled and in good condition.
Condition
This is in lovely condition for it’s age with only a small amount of wear and tear, the plinth is scuffed and darkened on the bottom edge, it is dry particularly to the left side and there is a small dark mark to the top of the front right panel. The interior is bare wood but is scuffed and some hooks have been removed leaving screw holes. Unfortunately there are no keys but the does fit snugly and working locks are not needed for these kind of handles anyway.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, remember to include your email address.
The overall dimensions at the largest points are approximately
Width 247.5cm (97 1/2in)
Depth 52.5cm (20 3/4in)
Height 203.5cm (80in)
For transportation and moving this wardrobe splits into four sections (top, base, left half, right half).
Ref 0215
Delivery can be arranged to most UK mainland destinations for £95. Please appreciate all our items are antique and as such may have minor scratches, marks, knocks, shrinkage splits signs of old woodworm, and minor losses to veneer, which combine with care and years of polishing to create an individual character and patina. We cannot describe each marks separately and therefore suggest you do take the time to request extra photos. We do offer a 14 day money back guarantee for UK purchases but cannot refund the return shipping cost.
