Arts & Crafts oak desk Stones Patent

Arts & Crafts oak desk Stones Patent. The superstructure has two leaded, green glazed doors either side of a fall front writing slope. When this is down, an internal mechanism allows the six drawers to be opened. The desk has shaped feet typical of the Arts & Crafts style on brass castors for easy movement and sinuous coppered hinges and handles and two pull-out book rests. Made by Stones of Oxford c1900. Measures 48.5 in (123 cm) high x 51 in (130 cm) wide x 20.75 in (52.5 cm) deep
