Arts & Crafts Oak Wardrobe by Maple & Co

An attractive Arts & Crafts oak wardrobe by Maple & Co featuring a wide overhanging cornice with blockwork to the frieze, a beaten copper door panel and copper strap hinges. The two doors with twist-to-open handles and opening to reveal two individual hanging sections with a top shelf, hooks and hanging rail to the right section and a white label for ‘Maple & Co Limited, London & Paris’. With a long mirror to the left door and on a base fitted with a long drawer and raised on four feet.
This is in good solid condition , the mirror is spotted and there are blocks missing from the back of the sides of the cornice (one from the left and two from the right). The front and right side are good but on the left side there is a shrinkage split to the base (a common occurrence in antique furniture which does not affect or detract from the item) and some scratches about half way down. The drawer also has a shrinkage split and has no lock. There are no keys to this wardrobe.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos.
The overall dimensions at the largest points are approximately
Width - 57 1/2in (146cm)
Depth - 24in (61cm)
Height - 84 1/2in (214.5cm)
Internal depth - 17 3/4in (45cm)
For transportation and moving this wardrobe splits into three sections (cornice, hanging section, base drawer section).
Ref 0390 Please appreciate all our items are antique and as such may have minor scratches, marks, knocks, shrinkage splits signs of old woodworm, and minor losses to veneer, which combine with care and years of polishing to create an individual character and patina. We cannot describe each marks separately and therefore suggest you do take the time to request extra photos. We do offer a 14 day money back guarantee for UK purchases but cannot refund the return shipping cost.
