Arts and Crafts Liberty Style Mantel Clock
A lovely Arts and Crafts Clock, circa 1900, the good quality 14 day Hamburg American Movement striking the hours and half hours on a bell. The dial has central floral motifs, arabic numerals and wavy blued steel hands. The oak case with brass panels, a coloured glass arched lower section and an arched bell section with brass column supports and brass covered top.
I have had a number of these antique clocks over the years and think they are particularly attractive with a lovely tone to the bell. I believe that this model was retailed through Liberty's although this one bears a paper label for Chas Butler of Maidstone.
