Attractive Antique Tall Carved Oak Bed Frame
A lovely oak bed frame. We date this bed to the early 20th century.
The bed comes in three sections, the head and footboards and the side rails.
The bed sits on attractive carved legs and the side rails have lovely raised diamond mouldings.
The tall headboard and footboard are both decorated with attractive carved panels and carved pillars to the sides.
The headboard has a height of 53.5" (135cm) and the footboard a height of 30.5" (77cm), both by 56.5" (143cm) wide and overall length 80.5” (205cm). The base will take a mattress 76.5" (194cm) long by 52" (132cm) wide.
The height to the top of the side rail is 10.5” (27cm).
This lovely bed remains in very good solid condition with some minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The bed has some minor wear to the frame including an old repair to one corner.
This remains a very stylish and elegant bed which will continue to provide sweet repose for many years to come.
