Barclay’s Brewery Oak Hotel Black Board or Menu Board

Barclay Perkins Brewery once stood in Southwark, south London
200 years ago it was the largest brewery in the world.
It was renamed it Barclay Perkins in 1797.


An attractive piece of history, this charming Oak menu board would have been hung on the wall at the entrance to the hotel or bar, advertising, Ales, Stouts and Lager at the top and Lunches at the bottom
The black board is set in a large Oak Frame, this is removed from behind the glass at the back to chalk the changing menu

The frame and board are all in good condition for their age
The Frame is 28” wide, 46” high and 2” deep
