Barnsley Corner Cupboard /secretaire
Superb quality corner secretaire from the workshops of Edward Barnsley, signed by the artisan L. Mundy and dated 1932.
Made from solid walnut with fielded panels surrounded by ebony stringing, featuring rosewood escutcheons and ebony chevrons at the corners. It features 2 end cupboards on each side and a cupboard above the secretaire, and one below it. The end cupboards have adjustable shelving and some are lined with light brown baize.
The build quality is fantastic.
