Beautiful 17th Century Burr Elm Coffer Sword Chest
This is a delightful 17th century sword chest in rare burr elm with a wonderful colour and grain dating from around 1680. The coffer is in remarkable condition with a beautifully restored patina to the glowing elm. This has its original hand forged ironwork hinges that are in excellent condition. The chest is raised on its original, tall V shaped stile feet. Charles II period circa 1680.
The chest is a very useful size measuring 101 cms wide 66 cms high by 34 cms deep.
