This is a very pretty 19th century Italian bureau cabinet with a lovely hand painted finish and silver gilt highlights to the relief carved detail. The cabinet dates from around 1870 and has a good serpentine shape to the sides and is raised on prettily carved cabriole legs. The upper cabinet has beautifully antiqued silver mirror glass to the doors and a working lock and key. The base has two faux drawers to the door which opens to a shelved interior.

The cabinet is a most decorative piece and has attractive proportions measuring 210 cms high 78 cms wide by 42 cms deep.
