Beautiful Quality Antique Ash Bookcase by J.Taylor.
This is a fabulous piece of 19th century antique furniture made by the Scottish makers John Taylor & Sons - Edinburgh.
The quality is evident throughout this antique ash bookcase as one would expect as it is by one of the best known Scottish cabinet makers.
In the original finish and the colour is lovely and warm.
The top two doors are glazed, the glass being original and wobbly and having two moulded glazing bars.
Inside the bookcase is so clean and tidy, with four adjustable solid oak shelves.
All the brassware is top quality, stamped by the makers Clarke & Timmins.
This 19th century English antique bookcase is complete with a working lock and key.
In the lower section, two solid and panelled oak doors open to show another clean and tidy storage area with one single, adjustable shelf.
Even the back is excellent quality, panelled and clean.
A lovely piece of antique antique furniture that splits into two sections to move.
