We are offering for sale this very large and stunning, floral still life by the Hungarian artist Bela Balogh, who has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner. The painting depicts a sea green china vase with ornate gilt mounts, filled with a profusion of peonies in various pastel colours, as well as some smaller flowers. To the right of the vase is a two handled brass dish, standing on raised feet.

BELA BALOGH, 1909-1980, was a Hungarian artist who specialised in still life arrangements of fruit and flowers with ewers, steins etc. Unfortunately, we have no further biographical information on him.

The painting is offered for sale in a 3" pierced and swept gilt frame and will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
